The pier at Virginia Beach. I've never seen so much sea foam as I did the night I took this shot. The wind was strong and waves were huge too, hence the not completely placid looking ocean, and the foam kept flying up and blowing all over the place. Fun stuff. Taken on the night of the supermoon and eclipse.

This is an oldie, but from one of my favorite sunset shoots. The sky was on fire that night and the marsh grasses made for a great foreground and the water reflected the sky beautifully.

Taken at Ardastra Gardens in Nassau, Bahamas in 2013, this gorgeous guy was a ham. He wasn't caged, just hanging out there in midst of the lush greenery and there were no other tourists around, so I got to shoot to my heart's content.
I was loving it, and I think he was too!

This is my little friend from Kauai who I've named Ni'iko. He came to visit me every morning during my breakfast on the lanai. --- One of the things I really try to do with my wildlife shots is capture an aspect of the animal's personality, especially if I've gotten to know him or her. In the case of Ni'iko, he's very bold, curious, and inquisitive. He would often cock to the side just a little when he looked at me. So, though I could have easily straightened him out in this image in post-processing, I knew it wouldn't do him justice. Seeing him just a little cocked to the side is the Ni'iko I came to know and I think (or at least hope) it conveys his sense of curiosity.
--- The red-crested cardinal is a bird species in the tanager family. It was formerly placed in the Emberizidae, and notwithstanding its common name, it is not very closely related to the true cardinals. (Wikipedia)
